Dear Friend,
Dear Chanie,
I hope you had a wonderful Passover. Here, at Chabad Center, we had a whole week of meaningful celebration....and eating.
A very inspiring memory I have from my younger years was being present when the Rebbe launched the Maimonides (RAMBAM) learning program, exactly thirty years ago this week. It is a learning program that is tailored for men, women and even children, and thus unites our entire people, in studying all the Mitzvot of the Torah.
To learn more about the initiative www.jewishlouisiana.com/900030 Click
here for a fascinating article by Rabbi Adin Even Yisrael (Stienzalts) www.jewishlouisiana.com/901977
If you have yet to take the plunge, here are some reasons to join:
- Maimonides’ code covers all the laws of the Torah. You will thus become familiar with every area of Jewish law.
- You will be joining a global community of Jews who transcend boundaries of time and space by studying the entire Torah in unison.
- We make it easy! Whichever track you choose, we have a full menu of texts and study aids to help you. www.jewishlouisiana.com/900047
If you would like help choosing a track to start your learning program I am eager to be of help. Contact me [email protected] or 504-957-4986. Happy learning!
Shabbat Shalom, Rabbi Yossie

Parshat Kedoshim
The Parshah of Kedoshim begins with the statement: “You shall be holy, for I, the L‑rd your G‑d, am holy.” This is followed by dozens of mitzvot
(divine commandments) through which the Jew sanctifies him- or herself and relates to the holiness of G‑d.
These include: the prohibition against idolatry, the mitzvah of charity, the principle of equality
before the law, Shabbat, sexual morality, honesty in business, honor and awe of one’s parents,
and the sacredness of life.
Also in Kedoshim is the dictum which the great sage Rabbi Akiva called a cardinal principle of Torah, and of which Hillel said, “This is the entire Torah, the rest is commentary”—“Love your fellow as yourself.”

Are All Believers Insane?Hi,
my name is Rabbi Tzvi Freeman. I am the person your professor warned you about. Why? Because I believe first and prove afterwards. |
